To provide equitable access to higher education for all students, regardless of immigration status. We strive to eliminate the financial, social, and systemic barriers that immigrant students face by offering scholarships, mentorship, educational workshops, and community advocacy.
We believe in the transformative power of education and work to create a future where all students have the opportunity to reach their full academic and professional potential.
We envision a community where all students, regardless of birthplace or immigration status, have the support they need to access and succeed in higher education.
We aspire to be leaders in creating equitable pathways to higher education, establishing a model that other communities can replicate and adapt.
U-Lead Athens was founded in 2014 by a group of educators, community activists, and students who recognized the significant barriers facing immigrant students seeking higher education in Georgia.
What began as a small scholarship program has grown into a comprehensive organization offering multiple programs and support services for students. Over the years, we have expanded our reach and deepened our impact, serving hundreds of students and collaborating with dozens of educational institutions and community organizations.
Today, U-Lead Athens is recognized as a leading voice in advocating for educational equity in our community and beyond.
